ANTHONY B

Anthony B (born Keith Anthony Blair in Clarks Town, Trelawny, Jamaica) is one of reggae’s most dynamic and influential artists. Emerging in the 1990s roots revival movement, he quickly gained international acclaim for his powerful lyrics promoting Rastafarian values, social justice, and unity. With timeless hits such as “Fire Pon Rome,” “Raid Di Barn,” “World A Reggae Music,” and “Freedom Fighter,” Anthony B blends conscious reggae with the energy of dancehall, creating music that inspires and uplifts.

Known for his electrifying stage presence and tireless touring across Europe, Africa, and the Americas, Anthony B continues to spread messages of love, resistance, and empowerment through his music—solidifying his legacy as a true voice of the people and a cornerstone of modern Jamaican culture.

KEN RING

Ken Ring, born Ken Kiprono Ring in 1979, is a Swedish-Kenyan rapper, singer, and songwriter from Hässelby, Stockholm. He is one of Sweden’s most influential hip-hop pioneers, known for his powerful lyrics about life, struggle, and social realities.

Blending his African roots with Swedish urban culture, Ken Ring has released numerous albums over two decades, earning both critical respect and mainstream success. In addition to hip-hop, he explored his reggae influences on the acclaimed album Akustiken and several later projects, showcasing his versatility and deep connection to roots music and conscious storytelling.

Today, Ken Ring remains a respected voice in Scandinavian music, an artist who bridges cultures and continues to inspire through truth, rhythm, and reflection.

TURBULENCE

Born Sheldon Campbell on January 11, 1980, in Kingston, Jamaica, Turbulence is a reggae and dancehall artist known for his conscious lyrics and Rastafarian outlook.
Growing up in the Waterhouse neighbourhood of Kingston, Turbulence was exposed to the realities of poverty and violence early, which shaped his musical focus on social justice, spirituality and empowerment. 

He was discovered in 1999 by legendary producer Philip “Fatis” Burrell of the Xterminator label, who helped launch his career. 

Turbulence broke out with the hit single “Notorious” (2004 / 2005) which brought him international attention and led to his inclusion in the 2007 documentary Rise Up, highlighting his journey and the Jamaican underground music scene. 

Over the years he has released multiple albums (such as I Believe, United, Songs of Solomon) and become recognised for vocal power, cultural lyrics and global tours. 

CHI CHING CHING

Born Radion Tashaman Beckford on 19 September 1982 in St. Mary, Jamaica, Chi Ching Ching was raised by his father, Herbert Beckford in the New Kingston area.  

As a teenager, he gravitated to dance and sound-system culture, finding his escape in music while surrounded by influences such as Buju Banton, Bounty Killer and Beenie Man.  

Chi Ching Ching broke into a more public view through live dancehall performances and street-dance DVDs, where his energetic presence and memorable catch-phrases helped him stand out.  

He gained further recognition with tracks such as “Lock Pon Di Ting” and later collaborations and hits that spread his profile internationally.  Known for his distinctive style—often playful yet rooted in dancehall tradition—he has become a fixture in both Jamaican and global reggae/dancehall circuits.  

ARTIST 5

Syster Sol is one of Sweden’s leading reggae artists and a true pioneer for women in the genre.

She began as a founding member and lead singer of the reggae band Livelihood, and in 2008 launched her solo career — becoming one of the first female solo reggae artists in Sweden. Her early releases, including the album Dömd att bli bedömd, set the tone for a powerful journey blending conscious lyrics with reggae and dancehall rhythms.

Her music centers on identity, self-confidence, and empowerment, and she’s also active in youth projects and creative workshops. Today, she’s performed on major stages in Sweden and earned respect across the international reggae community.
