After 7 years of celebrating the Jamaica Independence Day, it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that the festival on August 3rd this summer has been cancelled.Â
We have planned and worked hard since last year to present another wonderful event in 2024.Â
In previous years, we have received good support from various cultural organizations, but this year we have neither received cultural support from the Culture Council nor Region Stockholm, which has caused far too great financial challenges to be able to carry out the festival in the form you know it. We have explored many options but the decision has been made that we cannot keep the festival knowing that we will not be able to deliver the usually high quality event that you deserve.Â
We look forward to reloading and hopefully returning with good news for the summer of 2025!

*CLUB PARTY
On the 3rd of August we are instead throwing a Jamaica-party at Hilma bar on Torsgatan 10 near Stockholm central station.
Come and hold a vibe to new and old reggae and dancehall music by Jugglerz from Germany, Topaz Sound, DJ Patuu, DJ Keon and more! The opening hours are 22:00 – 03:00, age limit 21 years.

During the day, we plan to hold activities that are also aimed at children and with free entry. Stay updated via our social media and website for more information shortly!

This ticket will grant you entry to our club party at Himla Bar Night club in Stockholm City
Club opens at 22:00 and capacity is limited so we recommend you pre bought your ticket at a 25% discounted price if you buy online or there is a chance you won’t be able to get in.
